Environmental responsibility is at the heart of these proposals. All new buildings will meet or exceed current sustainability standards.

Key commitments:

• Net zero carbon for all new buildings
• Minimum 20% biodiversity net gain across the scheme
• Sustainable urban drainage (SuDS) to manage surface water
• Over 200 new trees planted across the town centre
• Green roofs on all major new buildings
• District heating network to reduce energy costs for residents and businesses

Community Growing

Community growing beds and a small orchard will be provided in the Green Quarter, managed by a community group.
